Alright, I'm in. I went perhaps a little too detailed with the character description, but it pretty much covers everything.
...and I went ahead and did my gender-swappable character...just for fun
No, seriously - I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with this, assuming I don't fall behind as much as I did with the last RP.
That aside, for simplicity's sake, Legacy refers to the male side and Legacy-ko refers to the female.
Anything I'm missing, or anything I need to change?
Name: Legacy/Legacy-ko
Description:
Legacy is 5 foot 11, lean and athletic, appears to be roughly 19-23 years of age, dressed in a #42 Calgary Flames jersey and wearing a pair of blue jeans, as well as with his skates (explained in the Items of Importance section) and gloves û which is what LegacyÆs æcasualÆ outfit generally consists of. In æbattleÆ (or rather, when he is playing hockey), he is dressed in full hockey equipment or optionally, goaltender equipment. Has short dark hair, brown eyes, a tiny bit of facial hair, and a small scar just under his left eye.
Alternatively, Legacy-ko is 5 foot 6, has a smaller and more petite, but still athletic frame, looks roughly 16-20 years of age, dressed in a #24 jersey and wearing pretty much the same clothing and equipment as Legacy, but with no helmet in battle/game mode and has no access to goaltender equipment (explained in detail in Abilites). Has the same short dark hair, but with a set of small twintails, the same brown eyes, and the same tiny scar in the same place under the left eye. Obviously, no facial hair.
However, both LegacyÆs have ridiculously hairy legs either way. Definitely not for the faint-of-heart.
Affiliation:
Both LegacyÆs are unquestioningly loyal to the Calgary Flames organization and to most hockey organizations or hockey-related groups in general (but not to the Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver Canucks, Anaheim Ducks, or Tampa Bay Lightning).
However, Legacy is friendly, allied with TFF, and is more than willing to help out, and is even a partial fanfiction writer as well. Legacy-ko, on the other hand, works with TFF only when needed, and doesnÆt care about it, yaoi, fanfiction, etc, and is there more for the action.
Picture: Generally, what the LegacyÆs are wearing or dressed in, in æbattle/gameÆ mode, but Legacy-ko doesnÆt wear a helmet. For casual clothes, they keep the jersey, skates, and the gloves and wear blue jeans.
Theme Song: Generally, any of the songs here, but Bleed it out, by Linkin Park, would probably be a rather prominent theme song for the LegacyÆs.
Background: (updated, with a bit from the previous TFF RPG)
The being known as æLegacyÆ is actually a fire demon û a pseudo-subspecies of demons, with bodies comprised of elements and continuous fusion reactions akin to the reactions in small stars on a very small scale, that can control, create, and harness fire to varying degrees of proficiencies. By default, fire demons donÆt have a set shape or form or gender, and in regards to intelligence, they are not as fully developed or capable of comprehending logic or knowledge. But that aside, fire demons have the potential for vast amounts of power, but their inability to communicate with other species or to understand the concept of ælifeÆ or ælivingÆ means they are unable to fully tap into their powers.
With that in mind, an unknown group of individuals had captured and sealed Legacy û locking away his abilities and powers - in the form of a human. With a human mind fully capable of learning and comprehending knowledge and logic, the supposed plan was to let Legacy grow and learn as a human to develop a sound and coherent mind, and then slowly return his fire demon abilities later on, thus creating a being as potentially powerful as a fire demon, but with the mind and knowledge and ability for thought as a human that can fully utilize its powers. Whether it was for good or evil intentions was never known as the individuals responsible for this had not lived long enough to see the result. Regardless, Legacy was sealed, and later released on Earth.
Unfortunately for the ones who were planning on creating an enhanced fire demon, Legacy was released in û of all places û Calgary, Alberta, Canada, just in time for the start of the start of the 1988-89 NHL hockey season, where the hometown Calgary Flames would win the Stanley Cup. Influenced by the hockey-mad city of Calgary, LegacyÆs blank and empty mind took in and embraced the Canadian sport and culture, turning into both a hockey fan and eventually a hockey player as he grew up. He would later find his way over to TFF Academy City, where he lives in his æoff-seasonÆ.
While the seal on LegacyÆs fire demon abilities is still strong and cannot be broken, it has weakened just slightly over time after countless fights and battles (in addition to some really intense playoff games), bringing back some of LegacyÆs most basic fire demon abilities, such as creating and controlling fire (explained in detail under Abilities). The return of LegacyÆs abilities culminated with a near-death experience, which gave Legacy his scar under his eye and also strengthened his fire demon abilities. In particular, the near death experience had systematically broke LegacyÆs physical body down and returned it somewhat to the old shapeless form that fire demons normally possess. Upon LegacyÆs return to consciousness, however, he had reshaped himself and returned back to his æusualÆ form.
However, the near death experience had also brought back part of his old fire demon consciousness. But with LegacyÆs already developed æLegacyÆ persona in control over the body, the old consciousness was never able to take back control. And so, it resided alongside æLegacyÆ and it grew and developed over time û using LegacyÆs memories and some lesser used aspects of his personality û and manifested for reasons unknown in a female æLegacy-koÆ persona. The Legacy-ko persona grew in complexity and strength, and now, when the scar under LegacyÆs left eye is struck with sufficient force, Legacy-ko takes over, instantly reshaping the body to a more female shape. Likewise for Legacy-ko, when the scar is struck with sufficient force, Legacy takes back control and reshapes the body to a male form. When one of the LegacyÆs is in control, the other can speak to them mentally and offer their opinions on the situation (for example: Legacy speaking to Legacy-ko: Please donÆt get us suspendedàagain. Legacy-ko speaking to Legacy: ThatÆs fuckinÆ bullshit! Are you gonna let him do that?! FuckinÆ KILL that wuss already!)
In regards to personality, Legacy is friendly, out-going, and is often prone to bizarre outbursts of joy mixed with hockey slang or references. HeÆs a team player, and is more than willing to throw himself on the line to help others. While playing or in a fight, heÆs a tough competitor and a hard worker, but takes it upon himself to play fair, as he has a lot of respect for æthe codeÆ û the unwritten rules governing hockey fights. Legacy-ko, on the other hand, has a mean streak a couple of miles across and is certainly not that friendly or as open or easy-going. In game, she is cruel, merciless, openly insulting or taunting the people around her and can even go as far as berating her own teammates for perceived weaknesses, and she is more than willing to put cheap hits on her enemies or use her fire demon abilities to far greater extents. For her, she is there to win, and accepts nothing less than winning by as large a margin as possible and making sure her opponent knows it.
But despite their differences in behaviour and attitude, both LegacyÆs are hockey fanatics who are very passionate about the game they play. While both LegacyÆs are aware they were apparently a æfire demonÆ in the past, they care very little about it and prefer to just be hockey players.
Abilities:
Both LegacyÆs are very strong and athletic, to reasonably inhuman levels. While they can get tired after a long game/fight, they possess a drive and determination to keep going and keep playing for as long as theyÆre still standing (or in the case of Legacy-ko, if any of her opponents are still alive and conscious). Both LegacyÆs are also amazing hockey players û very fast, very strong, and very talented when playing.
Legacy is capable of using basic fire demon abilities û which, with the seal still in place, only creating and controlling fire to a very limited degree. In particular, he can summon fire and concentrate it into a shape or composition of an object, but the seal prevents him from performing this on a larger scale which reduces him to only creating items such as pucks or hockey sticks. But in particular, Legacy is capable of summoning and reshaping his created fire into full goaltender equipment, which enhances his defensive and protective capabilities.
With these powers, Legacy is capable of creating pucks that either burn or explode on impact and firing them at his opponents with his stick. The strength and damage of his shot depends on how he shoots û which can vary between a rather soft yet accurate wristshot which burns his enemy, or a full-on Al-MacInnis-slapshot-from-the-point-that-breaks-bones-and-ruptures-testacles-and-puts-opposing-goalies-in-a-catonic-state-of-fear that, with enough power and a concentrated enough puck, is akin to firing a miniature nuclear warhead.
Failing that, Legacy can drop his gloves and attack his enemies with his fists, where his strength and balance aid him the most.
Legacy-ko shares many of the same abilities, but she has a far greater grasp on her fire abilities and is more willing to throw short bursts of flame around. While she cannot summon goaltending gear or play/fight defensively as Legacy can, Legacy-ko is faster, more aggressive, and much more offensively minded. She can score fancier goals and shoot the puck much harder. In addition, Legacy-ko doesnÆt hesitate to drop the gloves and fight, nor does she hesitate doing things like using her stick directly as a weapon, kicking, kneeing, or other very illegal moves in hockey (all of which Legacy frowns upon and chooses not to do when he is in control).
Items of Importance:
Skates û the skates worn at all times by both LegacyÆs, when used on surfaces outside ice, can create a tiny cover of ice beneath the blades, thus enabling them to skate as they normally would on any sort of surface.
Hockey stick û rather self-explanatory. Both LegacyÆs keep their sticks with them at all times and will never leave it behind or let others take it. Also, Legacy uses a right handed stick, while Legacy-ko uses a left handed stick. While their sticks are very durable, they can summon another using their fire abilities in the unlikely event they either break or lose it.
Potential for Growth:
Quite a bit, especially for Legacy-ko û essentially, trying to make her not such a homicidal bitch...if anybody wants to give it a go...
...and I went ahead and did my gender-swappable character...just for fun
No, seriously - I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with this, assuming I don't fall behind as much as I did with the last RP.
