That's because it was. ^^;;
Hmm, let's see... Recently watched: "Kanon '06" episodes 12 and 13, "Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru" episodes 8, 9 and 10, and the entire season of "Stellvia of the Universe."
Kanon was wonderful as usual. Koishiteru was... okay, as usual. Nothing really sprung out from them, however, although I'm hoping Mai arc isn't as sad as Makoto's (not freaking likely, knowing Key).
Stellvia was highly enjoyable, and far from what I expected (although, most of my expectations were bizarre anyway, coming from the pictures I'd seen of the show on the Internet. Poor Shipon has to be just as abused as Saber in terms of her appetite being exaggerated). The ending, however, was rather... lackluster. Nothing
bad about it, but I found it wanting, considering not too much got resolved between Kouta and Shima.
Which brings me to an odd realization, I actually liked the canon relationship of Kouta and Shima. That's quite rare for me, since I'm usually completely off from the direction the show's take,
especially if the main character is female (I tend to empathize more with the main hero/ine, and rarely do I find any of the male characters deserving of her).
Strange, but not bad.
