Just saw Denial

A Kid Flash heavy episode, but he got some good advice and it had one of my favorite villains, Klairon the Witch Boy.

I HATE that snot nosed brat, and enjoy watching him get beaten up. That said, we do need a new host for Doctor Fate. Any suggestions?
It would be amusing to use this world's Madame Xanadu, but there are many other possibilities. One thought I had was 'no specific host, just whoever's convenient at the time.' They might even do that for a while, until the Helm finds someone who's well suited to the position. I could see Jimmy Olsen being one of the temps, as it would fit his Silver Age schtick. Lois and Lana's, too. Since Earth 16 seems to be an attempted reconstruction of both the Silver Age and the modern age, it works.

If I had a better knowledge of obscure, underused DC characters, I'd have more suggestions for a long term host. Doctor Terrance Thirteen would be amusing. His denial is a lot thicker than Wally's.

I've been tempted to write a Fate/Stay Night/Young Justice crossover with Emiya Shirou getting dumped there by Rin's experimentations with the Second Magic for a while now. After this episode, who would get the Helmet of Fate is obvious.

Then you get to write the story about the coming of age of a relatively amateur magus (albeit one with hax abilities that let him hang with Superman in the combat effectivenes department) becoming the most powerful mage in existence. Also his drama with Nabu in the mask, though they'd probably come to an agreement. Shirou's powers are hax enough to be useful to Doctor Fate, I think.

Also, the ladies' reactions once they track him down would be hilarious.

So, saw the new episode, got a brief glimpse of Artemis's home life. Does this make her more or less likely to be Artemis Crock?

On another note, Bruce once again shows that he's a good dad. Superman should take lessons.

The idea has promise if nothing else, I'd be interested in reading what you ended up with.

Bruce is being...surprisingly nice and understanding. I'm kind of scared to be honest.

Also that was a great shout out having Garth use a spell called "Tempest"

Think 'Silver Age Reconstruction' Bruce, not 'Iron Age A$$hole' Bruce. It makes more sense, that way.

First episode of second part of season 1 was yesterday. I enjoyed the North and South Korea references.

My reaction to having to save Lex, and hearing his voice...

'The dirt...it won't come off!"

Kent....in honor of the late Kent Nelson....good one!

Best line in the episode

"You're stab at pragmatism is...well adorable...."

I love to hate Lex

No way around it, that was a total villain victory.

When you lose that often, and as badly as he usually does, you take what you can bet. Sarcasm might be his only useful skill.

True, but this was a villain victory, and to be fair so was the episode 'Beeft'.

Watching it now, seems those four ice themed villains attacking on independance day was more than just a strange coincedance since all four end up at Belle Reve. They send Superboy and Miss Martian in to investigate. The Warden is Amanda Waller, while Hugo Strange is the Prison mind doc. I figure Amanda is either recruiting for the Suicide Squad or Strange is up to something.

I would go with both.

Actually it's worse, as the villains are getting smarter. They planned a breakout and timed it for when the league memebers were busy with other things. It seems that the League's noterity has become a liability. Since all the memebers are big news, their actions get reported, making keeping track of them no harder than turning on the news.

Watch for yourselves

Points to Superboy for using his head and manipulating his one asset. The boy will make a fine hero if he keeps this up.

He waved his giant S around and pretended to be Superman? Because really, what is Superboy without his giant S?

I'm not sure what you're talking about. During the episode Superboy was undercover as one of the terror twins in supervillain prision trying to prevent a breakout. He accomplished that by befriending a young inmate who had daddy issues (his father bing the one to arrange the breakout) and manipulating him into stopping the escape.

'Terror' also serves as an indicator of general awesomeness, as the writers are planning ahead, and having the villains plan ahead in an intelligent manner, rather than the 'how the hell do they expect to fool the average twelve-year-old?!' manner that appears far to often in comics and on TV.

Just saw 'Homefront' which is a brilliant episode. Robin shows why he will one day be team lead and Artemis proves that she's better than her sister. Also, I don't think Red Tornado is a traitor, I think something jumped from the terrible twins to him, something the overrode his free will. I think his creator may have been using him to spy on the team without even the Tornado being aware of it. However, it is worth noting that none of the team are dead, even though he could've killed all of them at the end.

This isn't over, and the team will be hurting after this one. However I think they'll pull through.

Considering that Tenchi Misaki is 16 and most of the women in his harem are over 700....no.

It avoids being really creepy due to the fact that both behave like teenagers.
