Naruto New Intros

Kakashi awoke like he always did on the day of the loops and got ready for the day. While before the loops started he never had any 'Good' reason to be late to the inital meetings, he had devoloped the lateness reputation for a reason, well two actually. The first is the one that most if not everyone knew, in honor of Obito, the second, he always researched everything he needed to know.

Today he was looking up his team and groaned. While he was quite familiar with Naruto, Sakura (shuddder), and Sasuke; the file he had gathered did not contain them. He wondered what he did last loop to end up in this fused loop, or Pseudo-Fused loop. Before him were files for people named: Cloud, Lightning, and Squall. Upon not recognizing the names he closed the folder before finding a better place to study them. "This cannot possibly be good."

He just knew he would be late legitimately again, not that he would admit to it.

Well at least they are all very skilled warriors and sorcerers who are really good at working in 3 person teams. But none of them make for fun company, so it'll be really boring working with them.

Well at least they are all very skilled warriors and sorcerers who are really good at working in 3 person teams. But none of them make for fun company, so it'll be really boring working with them.

Not Cloud, actually. ...Well, now it is, but only because of the EU, originally all this was just fanon save for a brief, justified stretch.

In FF7 itself, Cloud starts as a charismatic asshole. Think old Dante. Also smart, he is the one actually explaining the tutorials. Ha makes fun of people, and is pretty sarcastic. When he meets Aeris (someone who also suffered a lot from fanon, along with Tifa. Believe it or not, originally Tifa was the demure girl and Aeris the spunky one, despite their appearences. More on Aeris in a bit) they trade mature jokes before she tells him she'll give him a date in payment for being her bodyguard as Reno arrives (and implies this is not a first-time ocurrence). After they leave, as she is guiding him back to Sector7, they make a stop to have a conversation - an actual conversation between adults.
Then the whole Don Corneo thing happens. With Aeris herself making the suggestion of Cloud infiltrating the place by crossdressing, and actually starting the whole gay jokes with Cloud as the butt of them behind his back - and it goes for almost the whole place, from people making side-remarks that they really think he is from the brothel girls thinking he looks like a girly weirdo until you really try to be a client there and it is heavilly implied Cloud was just the bottom. The fact that crossdressing Cloud can end up being considered more beautiful than both Aeris and Tifa by the pimp boss (and the game makes no attempt not to imply they are good-looking), and his possible answers to a conversation with him when he is chosen as such, don't really say otherwise either.
Cloud starts acting "emo" long after leaving Midgard, as he starts thinking he is losing his mind, losing control of his own body from time to time and not being able to trust his own memories. He ends up having his body, despite his own wishes, trying to kill Aeris twice - the second time, breaking out of it just soon enough to see Sephiroth do the deed himself. It's not an unexplainde, "bang you're emo now", we are able to see the whole process. It culminates with him having his mind completelly broken and believing he is just a Cloud-shaped puppet.
Then he goes cathatonic.
While there, he finally remembers what really happened in the past and puts himself together. When finally back he is more subdued than at the start, but far from emo anymore. But by then the focus of the story is not so much on him anymore, so we just don't see his personality as much.
Then it's implied he bangs Tifa right before the final battle.

Know who really is the emo of FF7? Vincent. Yeah, he looks cool, but his actual FF7 story is: is a Turk, falls in love with a scientist, Lucrecia. Is friendzoned in the end and scientist marries another one, Hojo. They both agree to use herself and their baby in an experiment involving Jenova cells. Vincent confronts Hojo later after she starts suffering bad side-effects and is shot. They use his body in experiments that ends up bringing him back to life. She ends up crazy as a result of her experiments with Jenova and is locked up inside a crystal in a cave, so he locks himself in a coffin in an isolated house for years until the party finds him. And then he just follows the party and mopes around until meeting Lucrecia again.

On average most people tend to remember Cloud after his catatonic state or as he is in the movie. But more importantly we need more Naruto Loops.

Tempted to do a trio of followups with Naruto kicking Sephiroth around, Sakura loose (in both meanings) in Lightning's world, and Sasuke in Squall's... some place deep within me thinks Squall's world would get off lucky.

“I still don't like this. It feels like Sakura is behind it.”

“Now now Naruto, blaming Sakura for everything bad that happens to you is just wrong. Why you are starting to sound like Ryoga.”

Naruto sighed, he was wearing Ranma's usual clothes. “Unlike Ryoga blaming Ranma, which he does more as a tradition at this point, Sakura IS usually to blame.”

“You are probably right.” Ignoring the looks as he walked down the street, granted he was covered in warts and generally gave off the vibes of a toad.

Jiraya learned that using sage mode he could override the animal aspect of any animal based Jusenkyo curse. Something no other looper could do. Why technically anyone who underwent sage training, he was the only looper to end up with both sage training and such a curse.

Naruto sulked as he stared up at the clouds, unsure if he hated the rain or not. He had bad feelings about this loop, he knew that Sasuke, Sakura, Itachi (which was odd but not unheard of) and oddly Nabiki were all awake, well Jiraya too but that was obvious. However as this loop only started a couple of hours ago and, thankfully, he had yet to encounter any of them, his Sakura warning senses were pinging. Granted usually this happens whenever Sakura is out of sight for more then an hour, which is probably why he got paranoid at night.

To worsen the entire situation he seemed to be only at what he would expect to be at power wise had he been trained by Jiraya for so long. Which turns out to be no stronger then his just post Academy self, granted he would likely have all that taijutsu, but he had that anyway.

'There is a disturbance in the force.' Kurama spoke to his mind.

'Wrong universe, but I agree.'

Naruto spoke to the 'ugly' man next to him wearing an unfitting martial artist gi. “Lets just get this over with, and if I end up engaged to Sakura its coming out of you in blackmail.”

“Would I really do that?”

Naruto stared long and hard at his sensei, “I still have pictures from when Sakura used genjutsu on you and Orochimaru to make you make out during the finals of the Chuunin exam.”

“I'll be good.”

Itachi frowned, Sasuke was pacing again cursing under his breath. The master of genjutsu had little experience in this loop. However Sasuke's reaction to being Soun's child was worrying. The fact that Nabiki was awake seemed to worry Sasuke more. He had finally cornered his younger sibling in the dojo to get answers. “Sasuke...”

He was cut off when Sasuke turned to youngest master of the Tendo school sharply with a panicked look. “Itachi, how much do you know of this loop?”

“I will admit not much.”

“I wall also admit my detection ability is limited some, but I know that Naruto started this loop outside Nerima. This means that he is filling Ranma's role.”

Itachi shrugged, “It may not be that bad, so he will spend a loop engaged to Nabiki.”

“You are missing the point, or rather not thinking like a looper... I know you are not awake outside our loop often so I will spell it out. As a looper we get an information download most of the time, we didn't this time. Also Sakura is out there with neither us, nor Naruto knowing where she is or trying to limit her.”

Both shruddered, “You may have a point about Sakura, but you will still have blackmail against Naruto later from whatever Nabiki does to him.”

“Jiraya is with Naruto and we still have Soun here.”

Itachi was still perplexed, the illusion expert was well aware that something was terrifying Sasuke. “I will admit that an uncontrolled Sakura is worrisome, yet I still fail to see how any of this matters.”

Sasuke looked to the ceiling, “You will.”

After Naruto and Jiraya arrived a slightly confused Soun escorted them in. “You are a day early.”

Jiraya shrugged, which was odd given his current form and asked for some hot water as both Naruto and he were brought to the table, “So this must be Naruto.” after the entire 'Tendo' family was brought in and the water was being readied, Jiraya told them about how they visited Jusenkyo and thus his odd appearance.

“Truly the horrors of Jusenkyo are as great as the legends.” The entire table except Nabiki twitched at this.

The water readied Jiraya returned to his human forum. Which still looked odd without his forehead protector. “It is indeed old friend.” He had decided to play along, then he poured the water on Naruto who squawked as he was turned into a girl.

Soun smiled, the curse had been explained in the initial letter that was sent, “It was decided long ago that we would join the schools of anything goes together.” Soun looked to a surprised Naruto. Pick one and he will be your fiance.

Itachi realized as soon as Naruto changed exactly what had his brother was worried about and cast a genjutsu on his brother to effectively disable his ability to speak. Unlike Sasuke who relied entirely on his eyes for learning everything and using his eyes for any genjutsu, he was not so foolish. He had even got them to the point he didn't need hand signs before he looped. It was the best way to trick someone, after all they always found him spookier when he could trap them in a genjutsu without looking them in the eye for some reason.”

Sasuke tried to speak, he also knew what was coming and could feel Itachi's genjutsu. Try as he might he was only as powerful as Akane was in this loop, the first time through, and he never had the control that Itachi did. End result was obvious, he couldn't break such a well designed technique no matter if it was cast by someone with Kasumi's power levels. What was worse was that Itachi was trained properly by Soun or longer rather, so he was stronger then Kasumi was. He cursed mentally about the situation.

Nabiki looked at the momentarily surprised Naruto and Sasuke and smiled like Sakura was prone to, “Ohh she wants Sasuke.”

“Yes look at them look at each other, they are in love already.” Nodded Itachi.

Both Sasuke and Naruto's heads snapped to the other two. Then Soun spoke up, “Then it's settled.”

Sasuke and Naruto were walking to school, clearly annoyed. They were unable to get out of the mess last night. And were both rather upset, oh sure the fact that Itachi and Nabiki threw them under the proverbial bus was to be expected. Nabiki was already a girl so she was out by default, and Itachi was filling in for Kasumi, plus the entire Uchiha massacre thing with the making Sasuke hate him through torture, kinda a history there.

Naruto spoke first, “Well Ranma and Akane managed the entire loop the first time fending off the fathers, and I can blackmail Jiraya enough to keep him off our backs. So that's something.”

Sasuke glanced at the blonde girl. “This entire situation is something straight out of Sakura's mind.”

Naruto paused in thought, “Umm Sasuke?”

“I know Naruto, it scares me too.”

They had arrived at the school only to see the most terrifying thing Sasuke had ever seen, and given the loops he had seen things that were way up that ladder. There was Sakura in a Kendo outfit, sword and all with what looked to be every girl in the school.

Sakura locked eyes with Sasuke and grinned. “I the Pink Rose of Furinkan will win the heart of the handsome Sasuke by defeating him in combat.” With that she charged with an entire horde of fangirls.

This is one messed up loop. Especially since Sakura is doing it to be a troll. Although I wonder if going four-tail will be Naruto's Neko-ken? And I can easily see Tsunade replacing Nodoka. Actually, I want to see a non-looping or first looping Tsunade replacing Nodoka. Just so the freaking Godaime Hokage can clean house and rescue her favorite surrogate little brother/son.

Actually I intended this to be a natural loop, and technically Sakura has nothing to do with this, on the other hand... She certainly didn't do anything to prevent the horde

Since they're limited to the powers of the people they replaced Sakura is in a for a lot of pain.

Kuno has a natural 20 in Delusion. That's how he manages to suffer through all the pain he suffers. Sakura would also have a natural 20 in Delusion as a result.

Yeah, but in the loops Sakura has a negative twenty in empathy as well.

Perhaps, but as good as Sasuke is, he lacks any technique he normally has as it now requires more power then he has, basically an Eikan lock without necessarily being there. Yes he has the taijutsu, but then again Sakura is Sakura... With an army of fangirls... A girl that in a universe with the most advanced technology being primitave guns she made a borg outbreak... She lives in a house with a sibling with access to mutiple poisions and mind altering substances... can you honestly say that she did not help these girls at all, or that their clothes aren't laced with something that could further disable Sasuke since he is so limited?

Sooner or later they will push Naruto to go off here. Lock or not he still has Kurama since Kurama was talking to him when he arrived at the Tendo house. Something so horrible will pop up that we will at least get a multi-tailed Naruto running around. And since there nobody there at a level to stop a jinchuuriki the whole town will end up a smoking crater and it's all Sakura's fault.

Although I just had the horrific mental image of Hinata replacing Kodachi and playing it up to the hilt here. Part of me thinks she should be in Ukyo's spot instead but I could see her going Kodachi here. Yikes.

Shampoo awoke in her own bed at home, which was odd now that she thought about it, normally she started the loop somewhere on a boat headed to Japan. She got good after some time at finding out the date carefully so as to not draw suspicion. Although it was technically not hard at all.

She got out of bed, dressed, and headed towards the center of the village which there was a calendar of sorts. She frowned as she looked at the date on it. It was, as best she could convert via calendars as her village used a shifting calendar different then most places used, the same day she normally would awaken during a loop. This meant that something in the past was different.

She took a walk through the village trading waves with others and accepting respect as village champion, something she lost due to her hunt for Ranma. This in part concerned her; she got no information download like she got on most changed loops. Sighing she looked at the challenge log. That one item, as irrelevant as it really was represented her meeting Ranma initially.

She had a plan though; she was a lot smarter than she was prior to looping. Now she could use some obscure village laws to go looking for her love. Then she would get answers as to who stole her happy fun time.

At the same time Ukyo was walking down a road and ran into Ryoga, both of them became dizzy and then recognized each other.

“Ukyo, what’s happening?”

“Not sure sugar, but after all these loops I know we never met until we arrived in Nerima. Something changed, but I don’t know what?”

Ryoga shrugged, he was far more level headed then he was before this mess, and though it was hard to determine exactly he thought he looped more than she did. “Hmm Think Ranma changed the past somehow, maybe woke early and tried something? Maybe it’s a prime loop and the change was minor so we aren’t noticing the change.”

Ukyo hummed and started searching her personal affects, she pulled something out and read it and swore. She was engaged to the youngest Tendo...

Ryoga laughed, “Maybe Ranma got gender swapped, it happened before.”

“Maybe, but the last few times I remember that happening I was a guy.”

“I think I was a girl then too...” Ryoga stated.

Both seemed to think while subtly checking their own gender just to be sure.

Suddenly Ryoga was splashed with cold water only for nothing to happen. “Strange, you didn’t change.”

Looking at the glass in her hand that he was sure she didn’t have a moment ago he became worried, he opened his backpack and looked at what he had.

Taking out the yearbook from his time at an all boy’s school he found what he wanted, Ranma was missing, but there was a note at the back in his own hand writing to kill a certain Tendo...

“Well sugar, we know where to get answers.”

Ryoga nodded, “Hokkaido.”

“Jackass!” with that she tossed aside the dented weapon she had on her back and took out her spare.

Sasuke shuddered while walking home with Naruto. Sakura was playing the full Kuno route. Although the fangirls, he shuddered, stopped attacking him, he could tell that they were all just waiting to strike. All fangirls were like that, always ready, just waiting, preparing, and when you least expect it. He shuddered again, too many looping memories.

Naruto was deep in thought too, he had detected three other loopers Awake, but given who they were he had debated on telling Sasuke.

‘Are you sure you won’t tell him Naruto?’

‘Well I should but given I am a girl and Sasuke is a guy, and Ryoga is a guy, I am thinking that the loop was adjusted for the gender change with as few adjustments possible.’

‘In other words you think they will come for him.’

‘Of course, just need to ensure the camera will link to the backup in my storage.’

‘... I think you should tell Nabiki...’

‘Okay why?’

‘She has better cameras, might be able to get a discount for the warning so she can be ready.’

Naruto inwardly smirked, Sasuke’s problems might just get worse. Unless they target (him)herself. Naruto had long ago realized why Ranma hated pronouns, even if Japanese had so few of them.
